Pauline’s Creamery is a much loved tearoom, bakery and takeaway service in the heart of Newquay. It’s a family business that has to cope with a sharp increase in trade during the very busy summer season when visitors invade the town for the delights of sun, sea and surfing. Owner Colin Paull likes to make sure all his refrigeration is up to scratch before Easter. He takes up the story:
The problem
‘We have 18 Trimco fridges here and we realised we needed new seals on 11 of them. Unless we could source new seals quickly, we’d have had to write them off and buy new ones. Also we knew our electricity bill was rising because of the faulty seals. So we called Gasket Guy and they quickly organised a visit.’
The solution
‘Their engineer measured all the fridges, made new seals there and then in his mobile unit
and installed them. Then he performed a full site inspection on all the door seals, created
an asset register of all our fridges, coding each appliance so we can now quickly order
replacements quoting a serial number in the future.
