Pauline’s Creamery is a family business in the heart of Newquay serving a wonderful range of yummy food. A vast array of cakes, gateaux, and traditional Cornish cream teas and delicious light lunches are all produced on the premises. With a bustling 58 seat tearoom plus a takeaway service, the bakery is constantly on the go to keep up with the constant demand.

The family have owned Pauline’s since 1984 and it continues to go from strength to strength. Following a fantastic extended Summer season after the first national lockdown owner, Colin recognised the need to get the maintenance completed during the latest lockdown. After being closed for many months the last thing he wanted is to have problems with refrigeration when they reopen. Colin has kept his equipment extremely well maintained but was struggling to find replacement door seals for his 18-year-old Trimco fridges. With 11 doors requiring seals, Colin knew that unless he could find new door seals then he would have to face the huge cost of throwing out his trusted fridges and replacing them with new ones.

When Colin called Gasket-Guy we explained how we manufacture and install door seals for almost all makes & models of refrigeration, even his 18-year-old fridges. After checking some images of the existing seals, we arranged a COVID secure visit to Newquay. Our Gasket-Guy engineer measured the fridges then made the door seals in our mobile unit and replaced all the old split seals. We also performed a full site inspection to check the health of all the door seals on the premises, added a unique GG ID number to each appliance and created an asset register of all the door seals for future replacements. Now when any door seals need replacing, it is just one call quoting the GGID and we will have the door seal replaced in no time.
